WW108 that's why you need to make a decision
Hello dear reader!
How are you? Did you know that this week in Stockholm, the weather was better on several days than in Budapest? Well, well.
It's incredible how different life can be when the sun is shining on my face and I'm grinning with squinted eyes, feeling the warmth on my sun-kissed skin.
In this state, I can give so much more to my clients, and I can feel the difference - I hope they can too!
In one of my coaching sessions, we discussed whether making decisions and taking responsibility for their consequences is a burden or freedom. What do you think?
I have always strived to make important decisions in my life because it makes me feel free, and I am much more willing to take on the possible negative consequences of a bad decision if I made it myself.
Often, people find themselves in sensitive situations where no matter what decision they make, someone will be hurt as a result. And they don't want to hurt anyone, so they postpone making a decision indefinitely. Do you know where this leads?
The longer you drag it out, the more likely it is that the situation will become so heated that not just one person will be hurt, but everyone involved. And the person who was supposed to make the decision will feel even worse, and the responsibility will weigh even heavier on their shoulders.
The key sentence here is:
Not making a decision is still a decision
and it's one of the worst in my opinion. Plus, almost every decision can be corrected afterwards. If you want to progress on your path and don't want to hold others back from their development, then don't hesitate, because after a while you won't even have the opportunity to decide what you want, as the options will run out.
If seven out of ten of your decisions are good, that's already a great ratio. Let's go!
Podcast
On Easter Monday, the English version of my popular mental health podcast was also launched. In the very first episode of WOOHOO! BURNED OUT. I tell the same story, but in English.
WBO will bring you scripted short stories about mental health, finding your balance in this crazy late-stage capitalism we live in every Monday.
Listen to it on your favorite player!
Music
The last, seemingly endless phase of the 7-month-long Swedish winter buried me so much that I even forgot that Macy Gray's new album was coming out in February. This woman is fantastic. I've always loved her, but my admiration soared to new heights when I had the chance to see her live in Budapest a few years ago.
The album named Reset brought a new sound, and we can really hear the beginning of a new era from the artist who has been seen a lot, who is exceptionally not only singing about her dysfunctional relationships, but also about police killings and how America has become such a terrible place, which is a huge disappointment.
It's not an easy album, but I really like it. You should give it a listen too, maybe...
Thank you for your attention today, have a good weekend!
Regards,
András
