Hello dear reader!
I'm not sure how much you're already feeling the summer vibe, but in Stockholm, we've been enjoying bright sunshine for about a month and now the (Swedish) heatwave has arrived.
It's incredible to see how people behave differently during this time. For most of the year, you don't even see your neighbours; everyone moves around like elusive ghosts, avoiding contact with others. That's why it's so contrasting to see people picnicking in the sun on the docks, in parks, or meadows. The city is buzzing, the terraces are full. I wish this place could always be like this!
This beautifully demonstrates how much our environment influences us. Many times, we "work" on ourselves for years without any results before finally realizing that we need to make a change (a job, a relationship, a friend, a country, etc.).
As a child, I was taught to be persistent, to endure suffering, but I increasingly admire those who, for example, realize on the first day of a trial period that a workplace is not right for them and immediately quit.
Journal prompts:
Have you ever noticed that you unnecessarily suffer in a certain life situation for too long?
What external circumstance or environment would instantly make you feel better in your own skin?
Write down your answers and examine whether it's possible for you to make the desired changes!
I've posted the dates for the "From Mindfuck to Mindfulness" group on my website for September. The last session just ended on Monday, and I received some great feedback. However, it was shocking to hear that one participant was proud of allowing themselves the luxury of participating - they weren't referring to the money, but rather to the time.
More than 70 overworked individuals have already completed the program in the past, and many have complained about struggling to dedicate three hours every two weeks to self-improvement.
Does this problem sound familiar? Do you find it difficult to allocate 0.89% of your time to yourself? Do you consider it a luxury?
If yes, then you definitely need a change. The good news is that I can help with that. Moreover, if you apply before July 5th, you'll receive a 50 EUR discount on the participation fee. Feel free to write to me by replying to this email if you're interested!
Podcast
This week, there won't be an HAC episode, only the English-language Woohoo!
In last week's episode, I explained why I'm returning to a biweekly release schedule.
Next Wednesday, you'll be able to listen to the recorded live discussion on creative burnout at Publicis Groupe in the HAC. But until then, I recommend this previous episode: "In a Relationship with Artificial Intelligence."
Listen on your favorite player!
TV series
I recommend a very special, entertaining, thought-provoking, and surprising series on HBO Max.
The sci-fi comedy-drama series features Betty Gilpin as a nun fighting against technology with her faith. The story revolves around an artificial intelligence called Mrs. Davis, who controls almost everyone and wants to destroy the Holy Grail.
It's really addictive.
But now, I'm off to get some ice cream on the docks.
Wishing you a fantastic weekend!
Best regards,
András
